Designed in colour, texture and feeling.

Fauna Flower Folk is a design-led floral studio based in Finzean, Scotland, creating bold, sculptural and emotionally immersive florals for weddings, events and creative spaces across the UK and beyond.

Known for expressive colour palettes, layered textures and flower-led installations, the studio creates florals that feel personal, full of movement and impossible to forget.

Fauna Flower Folk began through instinct.

After years working in a more conventional office environment, Ange found herself increasingly drawn to something more hands-on, expressive and creatively alive. A late-night floristry course became the turning point. What began as curiosity very quickly became clarity: flowers offered a way to work physically, visually and emotionally all at once.

What clicked immediately was not floristry in its most traditional sense, but the feeling flowers could create in a space. The way colour, scent, texture, shape and scale could soften architecture, shift energy and completely change how people experience a room. That instinct still sits at the centre of Fauna today.

Atmosphere Comes Before Specific Stems

Fauna works primarily through atmosphere, colour, texture, movement and emotional feeling rather than rigid floral lists. Flowers are chosen for the role they play within a space: how they catch light, create tension, soften a room, add depth or completely shift the energy of an environment. The process feels closer to composing or sculpting than simply arranging. Ange is constantly interested in how flowers can be reimagined, manipulated or pushed creatively to make people see them differently. The focus is never simply the flower itself, but what it can become within the wider atmosphere of a space.

A Flower-First Philosophy

Fauna’s work is not built around greenery with a few flowers added in. The base is floral. That distinction matters. Many large-scale arrangements rely heavily on foliage to create volume, with flowers scattered through for impact. Ange’s approach is different. She builds richness through flowers themselves: colour on colour, texture against texture, shape against shape. Bigger is not always better, but depth matters. The goal is not one-dimensional scale. It is layered, luxurious, flower-led composition.

Colour Is Everything

Colour sits at the heart of the studio’s creative language. It is approached instinctively, emotionally and with confidence. Fauna is known for combinations that feel rich, layered and unexpected: earthy tones beside something neon, softness against saturation, warmth against restraint. The most interesting palettes often come from tension. They do not need to feel obvious to feel right.

Beauty Without Rules

Fauna is interested in what flowers can become when they are pushed, shaped, grouped or seen differently. That might mean carnations packed tightly into a sculptural cube, flowers bent into unexpected forms, unusual colour combinations or oversized proportions that shift the way people read a familiar material. The approach is playful, explorative and adventurous, but always intentional. The goal is not to follow floristry rules for their own sake, but to create work that feels alive, expressive and full of possibility.
